2 arrested for sandalwood smuggling in Karnataka by Somwarpet Forest Department

Somwarpet Forest Department officers arrested two villagers from Hassan district for allegedly smuggling sandalwood in Kodagu's border villages. Chandru and Suresh were apprehended while transporting sandalwood cut from Somwarpet taluk. Following their court appearance, they were remanded in judicial custody. The raid was conducted under ACF Gopal's guidance.
