Norway’s Gas Exports Set to Remain Close to 2024 Record High

Norway’s natural gas exports hit a record level in 2024 and are expected to remain close to this all-time high in the next few years, gas export system operator Gassco said on Thursday. Last year marked a record year for Norwegian exports to Europe, Gassco said, adding that Norway’s gas accounted for 30% of Europe’s natural gas imports and about 9% of all European energy consumption.
