People who lean politically to the right are more likely to fall for conspiracy theories than those on the left—but not for other types of false or misleading information. And regardless of ideology, we tend to accept political claims that align with our own beliefs. This is shown in a doctoral thesis from Linköping University, Sweden.

Woman killed by wild elephant; husband & father-in-law critically injured

A wild elephant attack in Balangir district tragically killed a 34-year-old woman and injured two others. A herd of around 30 elephants has been causing destruction in the area for a week, prompting villagers to demand action. Forest officials are monitoring the herd and have launched an awareness campaign.

It says the policy of separating Eskom into various entities, namely generation, transmission and distribution, is a neo-liberal project designed to dismantle a vital State asset and facilitate the wholesale privatisation of South Africa’s energy sector.
