Ranking our 6 best tequilas, from Kylie Jenner's 818 to Guy Fieri's Santo, for Cinco de Mayo

I wasn’t a tequila person until I started writing the Beverage of the Week series at FTW. What was originally a dive into the never-ending world of beer quickly became an expansive look at sodas, snacks and, most notably, spirits.

That’s led to way more agave than I could have expected, whether in the form of a low-calorie sweetener for fizzy hard seltzers or in its most famous composition in a bottle of tequila. Sometimes it was a celebrity-backed startup looking for traction in a crowded market. Other times it was older standbys. Not once was it Pepe Lopez, which my past college self and current liver appreciates greatly.

I’ve had the chance to review a solid lineup of tequilas, ranging from good mixers to great sippers. These are the six best I’ve had a chance to drink over the last two years.
