Report: La Liga club are not sure they can afford Spurs player’s £6m price tag
Vamos Mi Sevilla FC have revealed that Sevilla have now taken steps to bring Bryan Gil back to the club, with the Spanish side said to be extremely keen on re-signing the Tottenham man.
The report points out that Gil has struggled to get a look in at Spurs over recent months and that the player has ‘requested’ the club to sell him this summer.
The outlet backs up what we have heard from other sources over recent weeks by claiming that the winger only wants a permanent move and will not settle for another loan.
Sevilla’s proposal to Tottenham and Bryan Gil
However, this is thought to be an issue for Sevilla, who are hard pressed for cash, with the club not sure if they can pay the €6-€8m (£5.1m-£6.8m) fee they believe will requested by the Lilywhites.
The report says that the Andalusian club are not willing to give up on the Spurs star as sporting director Víctor Orta is ‘convinced that Gil can explode again’ at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
As a result, it is explained that Sevilla have proposed a new formula to sign the Spain international on loan with an obligation to buy.

With Gil also rumoured to be attracting interest from Feyenoord and a few other Spanish clubs, Tottenham might be hoping to collect closer to £10m or more for the winger. However, the 23-year-old’s preferred choice might be to return to his former stomping ground.
