Commercial radio presenter Brian Moore dies aged 52
Former Metro Radio and Rock FM breakfast presenter Brian Moore has died at the age of 52.
He passed away on Saturday having been poorly since having a stroke six years ago.
Tributes have been made on social media, all saying how Brian was one of radio’s good guys, a true professional and great broadcaster.
Brian worked on Rock FM and Radio City in the 1990s and moved to Metro Radio to host the same show, gaining a large and loyal fan base. His last gig was for the predecessor to Greatest Hits Radio, presenting the evening show.
He also used the name “Jamie Moore” when working in Lancashire.
Before the move north, he also worked at Gemini FM in his native Devon.
His wife Angela posted on behalf of their children, David and Georgina. It said:
