Kingston woman pleads guilty mid-narcotics trial

KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Corena Kelley, 30, of Kingston, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on April 30 in the middle of a jury trial after the had already prosecution testified. This follows the previous convictions for possession of guns, drugs, and other charges from last fall where she was sentenced to seven and one-third to 10 years in state prison.

The April 30 conviction stems from an arrest that occurred on April 6, 2022. Before the arrest, a search warrant was executed where state police reported finding cocaine, heroin, narcotics preparation materials, and a digital scale.
