I saw a naked old man cycling along a busy road past a school – I called police but their response left me stunned
A NAKED cyclist was cleared to pedal along a busy road after telling police he was heading home.
Drivers tooted horns at the man, who was wearing just shoes and a helmet.
Two officers stopped him after getting calls raising concerns but let him carry on in Bolton.
Kingsley Stevenson, 49, said: “I was driving along and all of a sudden spotted an old bloke butt naked.
“He didn’t have a care in the world.
“He’d ridden past a leisure centre, schools and nurseries.
“Nobody wants to see that, never mind a kid.
“I phoned police and they told me he’d been stopped but they’d allowed him to carry on because he was en route home.”
Kingsley, who took a video, said he asked, “What are you doing?” when the man cycled past and was told, “I’m doing what I want”.
The cyclist was said to be in his 60s.
It is not an offence to be naked in public unless proved the person caused harassment, alarm or distress to another.
