NYS says $82M available for arts grants

Gov. Hochul's office says opportunities for capital project grants will be announced this fall.

ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) -- The state is making $82 million in grants available to help support artists and related organizations across New York.

Applications for the Council on the Arts grants for Fiscal Year 2025 open June 5 and are due by July 17 at 4 p.m. They're open to nonprofit arts and culture organizations, as well as individual artists.

“New York’s innovative arts and culture sector is a key component of our state, driving our vibrant tourism industry, energizing our communities, and inspiring students all across the state,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said.
