Showers & storms returning, slightly drier weather to end off the work week

Clouds and showers have quickly found their way back to Central Ohio after a beautiful setup from the middle of the week. Better chances for storms will move in this evening, but there is some slightly drier weather on the way.

Clouds and showers have quickly found their way back to Central Ohio after a beautiful setup from the middle of the week. Better chances for storms will move in this evening, but there is some slightly drier weather on the way.

A stationary front is draped across our area, mostly in line with I-70. Through this afternoon and evening, a low pressure center will slide across that boundary, bringing in more wet weather. Showers, and storms, will pick up going into the evening commute. Overnight, rain will begin to taper for a mostly dry Friday.

There is the chance for some stronger storms to develop with a 1/5 risk for severe weather today. But, the main threats will remain with a low chance for stronger winds and small sized hail. That threat will quickly dwindle going into tonight.

A spotty shower or two is possible for Friday, but better chances for rain move in to start off the weekend. A cold front will swing in from the north, bringing better chances for showers and some stronger winds. Temperatures remain in the mid 60s to start off the weekend.

We're drier and warmer to end off the weekend. Temperatures on Sunday will be near 70 degrees with more sunshine. We remain in the mid 70s for the first half of next week, but chances for rain will return as well.
