HILLIARD, Ohio (WCMH)- With the summer season comes several events and activities for all to enjoy. From festivals and celebrations, Hilliard is having several new and returning events all summer long.

  • Touch-A-Truck: May 10
  • Wayne and Center streets parking lot from 10 a.m. to noon

Touch-A-Truck allows kids to explore all trucks they see in the community including fire trucks, police cruisers, semi trucks and more.

  • Bring the Zoo to You: May 19
  • Britton Farms from 4-6 p.m.

Hilliard is bringing the Columbus Zoo to Britton Farms with animal and character ambassadors providing education and will be interacting with the community. Crafts, airbrush tattoos, balloons and more will be available.

  • Celebration at the Station: Thursdays starting June 6-Aug. 15
  • Downtown Hilliard from 6:30-9 p.m.

Enjoy listening to live music every Thursday with new performances each week from a variety of artists and bands.

  • Lunch Time Live!: June 7, 28 and Aug. 2
  • Weaver Park from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Featuring acoustic concerts for all to enjoy during lunch time hours.

  • Sprouts Night Out: June 9 and July 28
  • Hilliard's Station Park from 4-6 p.m.

A free events for kids and families to enjoy live music and several activities.

  • Chalk the Park: June 18
  • Darby Glen Park from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

A fun event for anyone who loves to create art. Help the city create a pathway of color with a local chalk artist. There will also be music, games and chalk available at the event.

  • Juneteenth: June 19
  • Municipal Park Amphitheater: 9-11 a.m.

An event to celebrate the federal holiday that honors the end of slavery in the United States. The celebration will feature live music, a community art project, and "walk and read" The Juneteenth Story written by Alliah Agostini Livingstone.

  • Independence Day Parade: July 4
  • Starting at 9 a.m.

The parade starts at the Franklin County Fairgrounds and will go through Downtown Hilliard.

  • Freedom Fest: July 4
  • Municipal Park from 5-11 p.m.

Celebrating the Fourth of July with live music, along with food trucks, inflatables, stilt walkers, a fireworks show and more.

  • Get the Scoop: July 24
  • Hilliard's Station Park from noon - 2p.m.

Free ice cream for the community, along with games, activities and the splash pad for all to enjoy.

  • Magic In the Park: July 30
  • Weaver Park from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Enjoy a magic show from Magic Nate and Sedgie the Hedgie, along with entertainment, balloon twisting activities and more.

  • Parent Recharge: Aug. 21
  • Hilliard's Station Park from noon - 2 p.m.

As the kids head back to school, parents can enjoy an afternoon of strolling the park and the city's Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) and make a succulent planter for $10.
