Christine Quinn’s estranged husband, Christian Dumontet, has been charged with child abuse/endangerment, assault, and violation of a protection order, People reports. The charges come nearly a month after Dumontet was arrested at the couple’s Los Angeles home after an argument that resulted in their 3-year-old being injured and taken to the hospital.

On March 19, Dumontet — who goes by Christian Richard — was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon after he “threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim,” an LAPD public-information officer told People. The bag apparently missed Quinn but hit the couple’s 3-year-old son, injuring him, per the LAPD. Quinn accompanied the child to the hospital in an ambulance and agreed to a seven-day emergency protective order against her husband.

The next day, after he posted a $30,000 bond, Dumontet returned to the family’s home, breaking the protective order, TMZ reported. Though Quinn and her son apparently weren’t home, Dumontet was arrested again and charged with a misdemeanor for violating the order. In filing for a temporary restraining order, Quinn accused Dumontet of “volatile and erratic” behavior throughout their relationship and alleged that he once threw dog feces at her and urinated on the floor during an argument. She also claimed that he went to ”extreme measures to prevent me from leaving the property” and to “isolate me and our son.” Quinn claimed Dumontet locked the security gate at the front of their home “so we physically cannot leave the property.”

A judge approved Quinn’s request for a restraining order on March 28. Dumontet subsequently denied Quinn’s domestic-violence allegations and filed for his own restraining order against her. A judge denied Dumontet’s request, saying that the facts he provided “do not show a reasonable proof of a past act or acts of abuse.”

Representatives for Quinn told People that they are “extremely satisfied” with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office’s decision to file three separate charges against Dumontet, who People reports will be arraigned in June. The Cut wasn’t able to reach a representative for Dumontet for comment.
