‘This would ruin my whole day’ People say after woman reveals the hilarious way her boyfriend ‘cooked’ pasta

PEOPLE have been left in hysterics after a woman took to social media to share how her boyfriend attempted to make her a basic meal.

You might think pasta is one of the easier dishes to master, especailly if you’re making it straight from a packet – but this guy might’ve missed that memo.

Elle Grant took to TikTok to show the unusual way her boyfriend tried to make the grub – and there wasn’t a drop of water in sight.

Taking to TikTok, Elle said: “I asked this d***head to boil me some cook me some pasta. He’s put it in the oven.”

In the clip she showed a baking tray lined with some parchment paper and a layer of dried pasta on top.

Elle caption the viral clip: “Please send HELP!!!”

“[Can] anyone else’s boyfriend cannot cook if his life depended on it?” She wrote over the video, which quickly went viral online.

So far the video has over 1.5 million views, and thousands of comments from confused foodies.

“This would ruin my whole day,” one person slammed.

And a second agreed it was more than a fail, they wrote: “This is a violation, how does bro survive without you if he can’t cook pasta right?”

Another joked that the meal brought a new meaning to “pasta bake.”

But others thought Elle should’ve been tougher on her partner for messing up, with some even musing that he might’ve done it on purpose.

“Oh he knows what he’s doing, he wants you to be his mummy and do everything and if she does it wrong you will do it for him,” one said.

Another agreed: “Man knows exactly what he’s doing. Won’t be asked to cook anything ever again.”

“I swear to god my ex tried cooking me pizza, he gave me food poisoning and after that accident he wasn’t allowed to cook again,” someone else said.

“If you’re still together after this, you’re a better woman than me,” another foodie chimed in.

And one woman commented: “My ex claimed he didn’t know how to cook for five years but learned really quick when I split up with him.”

Of course, Elle’s boyfriend should’ve boiled the pasta rather than laying it in the oven with no other ingredients.

But some food fans did note that he could’ve added some water and sauce to the baking tray and it might’ve worked.

Do I have food poisoning?

Food poisoning is rarely serious and usually gets better within a week.

It’s hard to miss the symptoms, which include:

  • Feeling sick (nausea)
  • Diarrhoea
  • Being sick (vomiting)
  • Stomach cramps
  • A high temperature of 38C or above
  • Feeling generally unwell – such as feeling tired or having aches and chills
  • The symptoms usually start within a few days of eating the food that caused the infection.
  • Sometimes they start after a few hours or not for a few weeks

How to treat food poisoning

You can usually treat yourself or your child at home.

The symptoms usually pass within a week.

The most important thing is to have lots of fluids, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration.

You should also see a doctor if along with other symptoms you have high fever, blood in your stool, or feel dehydrated or unable to keep any food or liquid down.

Make sure you stay off school or work until you have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least 2 days.
