Free Narcan training to be held in Ballston Spa Monday

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Saratoga County will host a free Narcan training and distribution session on Monday from noon to 3 p.m. It will be held at the VFW Post 358 in Ballston Spa, located at 68 E North Street.

Attendees will learn how to identify an opioid overdose and administer nasal Narcan, which takes about 10 minutes. They will also receive a free Narcan rescue kit with two doses of Narcan, a rescue breathing face shield, a certificate of training, a drug disposal system, and a mental health and substance use disorder resource guide.
