MS Dhoni to Make U-Turn on Retirement Plans? Suresh Raina’s Answer Ahead of IPL 2024 Match Between RCB-CSK Spark SPECULATIONS!
Chennai: Once the Chennai Super Kings social media handle asked fans to stay back at the Chepauk after the IPL game against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, speculations were rife that it is because Dhoni is retiring. All along we believed that this would be his last year at the IPL, but his close friend Suresh Raina’s two-word response during commentary has given hope to fans. When asked about ‘Is this Dhoni’s last game at Chepauk’ on Tamil commentary, Raina said, ‘Definitely not’. So, was the game against the Royals not Dhoni’s last at the Chepauk?
Yes, if CSK make the playoff, they could play their game at the Chepauk.
I don’t think MSD is going to announce retirement amidst speculations. He will be doing it when we are all settled and would have moved on from IPL.
I was nervous, anxious the entire day.
Felt like attending my preparatory exams before the Final.#MSDhoni #CSKvRR

Raina hugged his one-time captain MS Dhoni during CSK’s lap of honour at the MA Chidambaram Stadium after the home side’s five-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals.
Soon after playing their final home game in league stage in the ongoing season, the whole CSK squad was honoured with medals, before the players thanked the whole Chepauk crowd by throwing autographed tennis balls among the fans in the stands.
Upon seeing Raina, Dhoni came forward and embraced his former teammate. He even gave the racquet to Raina, clad in yellow blazer, who sent one ball to the passionate fans before returning it to its owner. Raina was doing commentary in the game. He was even asked about Dhoni’s retirement to which the former southpaw replied, ‘definitely not’.
