Charlotte Greedy left people stunned as she showed off her garden transformation[/caption] While some said it looks like somewhere in Greece or Italy, others were less than impressed by the lack of greenery[/caption]And in a recent TikTok, Charlotte – who is also an author – showed her incredible garden makeover.
The video began by showing the green space as it was, a “high maintenance shrubbery jungle”.
The grass was overgrown and overrun with huge hedges and bushes, with a solitary washing line going from one side to the other.
Charlotte then shared the finished look – a “low maintenance Greek inspired slice of heaven”.
The grass had entirely gone, and had been replaced with paving slabs, while there were walls and wooden gates where the bushes once were.
The combination of the light wood and white paint made it look very much like a Greek or Italian haven.
And a small patio, with two little steps, completed the look.
“Our little slice of heaven,” Charlotte captioned the video.
The comments section was almost immediately filled with people praising the incredible transformation, with one writing: “Sorry, when did you move to Santorini?!”
“The way I ran over to my fella to show him!!! It looks gorgeous!” another added.
“I love this- it looks amazing! It’s your space to utilise how you feel you will best use it!” a third commented.
“First time I’ve ever said wow with a garden transformation,” someone else wrote.
“Very nice! I’m getting Greek island vibes!” another added.
“”Love it, I can’t stand grass!” someone else insisted.
But not everyone was impressed with the new look.
“A car park?” one wrote.
How To Make Your Small Garden Look Bigger
Garden design expert Fiona Jenkins from MyJobQuote.co.uk has created a guide on how to make your small garden look larger.
Add shelves – for additional storage and place to hold more plants.
Use foldaway furniture – to take up less space when not in use.
Add privacy – with fencing, trellis, brick walls or hedging.
Add a water feature – to make your garden seem like a natural retreat.
Go bright – when choosing plants, opt for bold colours to make the space pop.
Use large planters – to get more plants in less space.
Plant vertically – add plants upwards to make your garden seem fuller, and therefore, bigger.
Use blue flowers at the edges – blue flowers and plants recede into the distance and make the garden appear bigger.
Grow tall plants – it’s better to think big when it comes to a small garden.
Keep clutter a minimum – as it can give the illusion of less space than there actually is.
“Where’s the garden?” another questioned.
“Looks like an absolutely beautiful car park. Is there another garden” a third commented.
“Is the garden in the room with us?” someone else added.
“Lovely restaurant car park,” another said.
“Where can the kids play?” someone else asked – Charlotte has two sons with partner Harriet.
“‘You’re my type on paper, like, do you wanna go to the terrace?’ vibes,” another commented.
“hahahah, you’ve built a garage!” someone else said.
