Before she started the project, Rachel’s garage was empty and rundown, with bare floorboards, and paint peeling off the walls.

Using her DIY skills, Rachel set to work straight away, plastering the walls, adding in wooden floorboards, and painting the walls a striking pink colour.

On the back wall, Rachel used a chic blue floral wallpaper, and she created a small bar using wood panels.

To decorate the space, the DIY whizz bought some stylish pink bar stools, and a neon sign which reads “cocktails”.

She also added some fake plants to the room and then filled the back wall of the bar with bottles of spirts.

Rachel even installed a Heineken pump, so that her husband could enjoy the bar as well.

To finish off the conversion, she installed a TV and a cosy looking sofa, and even printed out an elaborate cocktail menu for guests to decide what tipple they would like.

Planning permission is not usually required for garage conversions, as long as the work is internal and doesn’t involve enlarging the building garages from being converted without permission.

This is often the case with properties on housing estates.

In this case, you will need to apply to your local council for planning permission.

Rachel’s video, which was posted under the username @rachel_carterrr, has likely left many people impressed, as it has racked up over 90,000 views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts, with many in awe at Rachel’s conversion.
