Our Yorkshire Farm’s Reuben Owen shaken by heartbreaking family discovery during holiday with girlfriend
OUR Yorkshire Farm’s Reuben Owen has been left badly shaken by heartbreaking family discovery.
The TV star has kept fans of the hit series up-to-date with his life in his new breakout Channel 5 series.
The first series of Reuben: Life In The Dales, is currently airing on the commercial network.
After the messy split of his parents, Amanda Owen and Clive Owen, their family show Our Yorkshire Farm was cancelled, despite their huge fan-base.
Viewers can see the sweet romance he shares with his childhood sweetheart girlfriend Sarah Dow.
They grew up together in the heart of Ravenseat and he even attended her prom when they were teenagers.
Fans can tune into the new show as the duo prepare to leave their Yorkshire home and their loved ones for the first time ever.
Together, they bought three French translation books as they excitedly studied up for their trip to France.
Reuben asked his partner: “Looking forward to France?”
She replied: “Yeah, I think it will be quite cool, something different.”
However, Reuben admitted that he’s very much at home with the Yorkshire countryside.
He remarked: “It will have to be pretty beautiful to be more beautiful than here.
“It’ll be warmer, but I don’t think it will be more beautiful.”
However, whilst he was on holiday he made a shocking discovery about his own family.
He discovered that a family member lost his life fighting for the UK and was buried on French soil.
The TV personality then visited a cemetery as he had a private moment to himself as he found the grave of the relative.
He said: “He came across here on his first trip, had to fight, and died.”
Viewers will get to see the emotional scenes next Thursday, May 16 at 8pm on Channel 5 when the next episode of Reuben: Life In The Dales aires on screen.
