Agent of reported Man Utd striking target spotted at Old Trafford yesterday as Fabrizio Romano drops hint
RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is reportedly on Manchester United’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
His agent Elvis Basanovic was reportedly at Old Trafford yesterday to watch the Red Devils take on Arsenal. The 20-year-old has been linked with the club since last summer.
With Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial expected to leave this summer, bringing in quality replacements is necessary and Sesko fits the bill.
Sesko has bagged 17 goals in 41 games across all competitions for the Bundesliga club this season. He has scored in each of their last six games.
The youngster notched 18 goals in 41 appearances while with Austrian Bundesliga side Red Bull Salzburg last term and has continued his progression with Leipzig.
Sesko has what it takes to hit the ground running at Man United if a move works out given his impeccable finishing and huge potential.
However, they will need to qualify for the Europa League to have a chance of signing him.
The 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday dealt a massive blow to their chances of playing European football next term. They are eighth in the table with two league games left.
They need to beat Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion to have a chance of qualifying for the Europa League or Europa Conference League through their final Premier League position.
If they don’t finish in the top seven, they’ll have to win the FA Cup final against Manchester City to secure a ticket for the Europa League group stage.
