‘You’ve gotta be joking!’ Shopper yells as she forks out £10 for three mystery market boxes & is stunned at the contents
SHE decided to take a gamble and splashed out on three mystery boxes from her trip to the market.
But Ellie was left more than a little disappointed when she cracked open the boxes, which she’d picked up on one of the stalls at North Weald Market.
She documented her opening of the parcels – which had cost her a tenner for three – in a video on her TikTok page.
“You ready girls?” she said, before pulling open the plastic packaging.
“Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me!” she exclaimed.
“You have to be joking!
“Oh my God. Right, so we’re gonna rate that one a minus 10 out of 10!”
She then got her mates to cover their eyes as she opened the next one, as they guessed that it could be a pair of slippers or a slinky toy.
“You’ve got to be joking,” Ellie yelled as she spotted what was inside – a mug with the words “always my mum, forever my friend” written on the front.
“I’m sure he orders this s**t and puts bags on it,” her friend said.
“Cause no one orders this!
“Man, I’m so glad I didn’t spend my money on this!”
“He knows what he’s doing,” Ellie said of the stall holder.
Lastly, she opened a pair of pink memory foam slippers, which she was equally disappointed with.
She also said that the man who runs the stall had told her that “everything in these packages is expensive” and worth double what she’d paid for it.
“I’d like my £10 back,” Ellie raged.
“Do not go to that store in North Weald Market!”
As her friend added: “It’s a crock of s**t!”

MYSTERY boxes are becoming more and more popular, with people keen to take a gamble in buying one. But where can you get one from?

Lots of charity shops have started putting together mystery boxes as a way to get rid of stock that they’ve been otherwise unable to sell. While you can never guarantee what you’re going to get, these boxes are usually cheaper than ones bought elsewhere.

As the popularity of mystery boxes increases, other retailers have started selling them in the hope that they will be a hit among customers. Have a look on sites such as Amazon, Etsy and Wowcher, and you’ll often find the mystery boxes are listed by genre too.

“I am laughing so much my friend got the exact same things when she did this,” one person commented on the video.
