Vanessa Redgrave paired a volumized hairdo with a standout jumpsuit at the 1967 Cannes Film Festival.

The singer's outfit included a long-sleeved, high-necked shirt worn over tights that covered her feet.

Both pieces were made from the same circle-print fabric and decorated with small buttons.

Bianca Jagger helped pioneer the "naked" trend at Cannes almost a decade later.

The Nicaraguan actor and human rights advocate wore a long-sleeved dress with a sheer bodice at the 1975 event. The latter piece was covered with a strategically placed leaf print, and its black skirt had a short slit.
