New facilitator details next steps for dispute settlement reform talks after consultations

Following consultations with WTO members, the new facilitator of the dispute settlement reform process, Ambassador Usha Dwarka-Canabady of Mauritius, on 14 May reported to heads of delegations (HoDs) how work will proceed in the coming months to meet the commitment to have a fully and well-functioning dispute settlement system by the end of the year. Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Deputy Director-General Angela Ellard expressed optimism over the formalized process and Ambassador Dwarka-Canabady’s leadership.
