Pixel 9 phones revealed in massive leak ahead of Google I/O 2024
Google will probably announce a flurry of AI software features at Google I/O 2024 on Tuesday. Powered by versions of Gemini, some of these features will be available in current Google products, including the Gemini chatbot. Others will come later down the road on new hardware, like Google's upcoming new Pixel phones.
I'm not expecting Google to unveil the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL phones during the keynote. Google wouldn't even have to tease them like it did with previous Pixels. After all, Google launched the Pixel 8a before I/O, indicating that this year's big event doesn't have room for hardware announcements.
But I do expect Google to demo AI features that might become Pixel 9 exclusives this fall.
That's why it's somewhat ironic that the three Pixel 9 models appeared in a big leak on the eve of Google's I/O 2024 event. These are the flagship Android phones that will run Google's latest and greatest AI features come October.
