'Frustration': Michael Cohen vexes Trump attorney with cool answers on cross-examination

Former attorney Michael Cohen quickly frustrated Todd Blanche, Donald Trump's attorney, as the two faced off on cross-examination at the former president's hush money trial.

Blanche began his questioning of Cohen by asking about his media appearances.

"You referred to Trump as a 'Dictator Douche Bag'?" Blanche asked.

"Sounds like something I would say," Cohen replied.

Justice Juan Merchan seemed unhappy with Blanche's initial questions. The judge sustained several objections before calling a sidebar.

"So far, the defense attorneys have shown the judge/lawyers/Cohen several exhibits that don't make it to the jury," The Daily Beast's Jose Pagliery reported. "All the jurors see is a fight but no evidence."

According to Lawfare's Tyler McBrien, Blanche became frustrated when Cohen would not immediately confirm he wanted to see Trump in jail.

Blanche asked Cohen if he had said on his podcast that Trump should be convicted.

"Sounds like something I would say," Cohen replied.

Blanche asked again.

"Probably," Cohen offered.

Unhappy with the answer, Blanche tried a third time.

"Sure," Cohen said cooly.

Trump is facing 34 charges of business fraud involving hush money payments allegedly paid to keep an adult movie star quiet about a sexual relationship the pair had.
