Bridgerton‘s third season debuted today on Netflix, but a familiar face has exited the franchise.

Phoebe Dynevor‘s Daphne will not appear in the third season of the hit period piece drama, and her absence was vaguely addressed in the first batch of episodes that premiered on the streamer hours ago.

During season two of Bridgerton, Daphne did make an appearance and mentioned that she left her husband, the Duke of Hastings (Rege-Jean Page) and their son behind at their home in the country, Clyvedon Castle.

In season three, Eloise (Claudia Jessie) mentions that she spent some time away in “the country” at her sister’s estate, alluding to the fact that her sister is still there.
