Who is Benedict Bridgerton?

Benedict Bridgerton is the second Bridgerton child and son.
Previous series have featured Benedict’s love of art and his sister Eloise encouraging to pursue his talents.
It seems that he wishes to have a different life away from the upper class routine he is used to.
He applied to the Royal Academy of Art and was accepted but he then found out that older brother Anthony made a donation to make sure he secured a place.
Who plays Benedict Bridgerton?
Benedict is played by actor Luke Thompson.
Luke was born on July 4, 1988 in Southampton but was brought up in France from the age of two.
After returning to England in 2006, Luke went to the Year Out Drama Company in Stratford-upon-Avon for a year before studying English and Drama at the University of Bristol.
He then trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, graduating in 2013.
His first professional theatre role was as Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Globe Theatre.
From 2014 to 2016 Luke played Simon in the BBC One drama In the Club.
Thompson made his feature film debut in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 World War II film Dunkirk.
In 2019 Luke was cast as Benedict in Bridgerton.
Who does Benedict Bridgerton marry?
Benedict is yet to have a long-term relationship in the Netflix version of Bridgerton but the books reveal more about his love life.
The books reveal that Benedict marries Sophia ‘Sophie’ Beckett.
However their love story isn’t smooth sailing.
The pair first meet at a masquerade ball as Benedict falls for a woman but does not know her identity.
They end up being separated and she leave behind a glove.
Shortly after, Benedict meets Sophie and offers her a job but still doesn’t know it was her at the ball.
Benedict finds himself confused as to if he should commit to Sophie or the masked woman.
Eventually he makes the choice to ask Sophie to marry him before finding out she was the mysterious woman the whole time.
How to watch Bridgerton season 3
You can now watch the first half of season three of Bridgerton on Netflix.
The new series is being split into two halves, with the second half being dropped later in the year.
The first few episodes became available to watch on the streaming giant on Thursday May 16, 2024.
Four more episodes of Bridgerton will then be released on June 13, 2024.
Who are the Bridgerton siblings?
THERE are eight Bridgerton siblings in total.
Here’s who they are in age – and alphabetical – order:
Anthony – the oldest Bridgerton is played by Jonathan Bailey. He was the main focus of season two and after a lot of will-they/won’t they he ended up marrying Kate Sharma.
Benedict – the second son, played by Luke Thompson, is the focus of the third book. However his romance is not the main story featured in season three of the Netflix drama, which will instead focus on his younger brother, Colin
Colin – Luke Newton plays Colin, who is a favourite with the ladies. He is also the object of desire for Penelope Featherington, who is also the mysterious Lady Whistledown. However as the season starts he is unaware of this fact, and ready to hunt down the anonymous gossip writer.
Daphne – season one introduced us to Daphne, the oldest female Bridgerton sibling. Played by Phoebe Dynevor, viewers watched her romance with Simon Bassett, the Duke of Hastings, unfold, gaining actor Regé-Jean Page many fans.
Eloise – book-loving Eloise has delighted viewers with her rebellious spirit and tomboy ways. She made her debut in society during the second season and was horrified to find that her best friend, Pen, was Lady Whistledown. Eloise is played by Claudia Jessie.
Francesca – Hannah Dodd has been brought in to play Francesca in season three, as she makes her social season debut. Francesca was played by Ruby Stokes in the first two seasons.
Gregory – Gregory is played by Will Tilston. As yet he has not played a key part in the series as he’s too young to be presented before the Queen. His story features in book eight of the series.
Hyacinth – the youngest Bridgerton sibling is played by Florence Hunt. Although younger than Gregory, Hyacinth’s story is featured in book seven.
