Just the two of them and a $21,000-a-night villa. That’s amoré!
“Ciao, bella!” That’s my impression of Travis Kelce talking to Taylor Swift on their romantic Italian getaway. The couple have been spotted in Lake Como while Swift is on a break from the Eras Tour. On Friday, she’ll start back up again in Stockholm, but for now? It’s all about la dolce vita for these two.
Sounds great, right? Well, the photos might be telling a different story. “Page Six” shelled out for shots of the couple dining alone outside of Villa Sola Cabiati, the massive villa where they’re staying while in Italy. These photos have shaken me to my core. There’s something haunting about them that I can’t quite put my finger on. They evoke a kind of May 2020 vibe, when people might’ve pretended they were in a restaurant in their backyard just to feel something.
The fact that the photos exist at all is perhaps the most unsettling thing. According to the tabloid, the six-bedroom spot goes for $21,000 per night. For that much money, you should be paying for privacy! People scored some photos of the couple strolling through the streets, which are much less of a bummer.
One day, I hope that these two can take a vacation without me knowing about it. What is the point of being a billionaire if you can’t eat alfresco in peace? Maybe next time, they should just ring George Clooney and see if his place is free.
