BBC Breakfast fans stunned as Nina Warhurst caught scoffing sausages during live interview – and even asks for sauce

BBC Breakfast fans were left stunned as stand-in host Nina Warhurst chomped down on sausages during a live interview.

The TV host even asked for brown sauce live on air and was left bitterly disappointed when she wasn’t offered any.

The surprising moment saw Nina sniffing the sausage before chewing down on it.

She was even seen speaking with her mouth full during the report in the rather uncouth moment.

However, there was some reasoning behind Nina’s forthright decision.

She and co-host Charlie Stayt had welcomed a very special guest to the BBC Breakfast sofa in Salford.

They were joined by a butcher called Gavin who had managed to win himself a Guinness World Record for the most sausages made in one minute.

He had joined the hosts to talk all about his world record and even brught in some of his homemade sausages too.

As well as creating traditional sausages, Gavin confessed that he also experiments with more unique combinations.

He had created a Full English Breakfast stuffed sausage with backon and mushrooms as well as a jalapeno infused meaty treat.

Nina dove straight into the Lincolnshire sausage however, saying she was going to have a “small bite” before launching into a huge chomp as she took out almost half of the sausage.

Nina clutched her chest as she attempted to hold back laughter after she caught a glimpse of herself on-camera freely eating away.

As Charlie was left asking the questions as Nina scoffed away, she quipped: “Have you brought any brown sauce?”

Gavin told her “unfortunately not” which left her bitterly disappointed as she rolled her eyes and tutted before taking another bite of the sausage.

Commenting on the moment, one fan was left impressed as they said: “You are the best, eating a sausage live on air is brilliant. You need to be on the red sofa every morning. Love it.”

before someone else jokingly shared a screengrab of Nina mid-sausage, writing: “May I be the first to offer you.”

Nina was thoroughly unhappy at the lack of brown sauce

Nina was filling in on the programme as Naga Munchetty continued the trend of absent BBC Breakfast hosts as she went missing fr a second day running.

Carol Kirkwood was also seemingly absent from the programme despite both stars usually appearing on the show on Friday.
