I won £4million Lottery jackpot but I haven’t told ANYONE, not even my fiancée – I don’t want my family taking a penny

A MAN bagged a £4million Lottery jackpot but hasn’t told anyone.

The anonymous winner scooped the windfall five years ago and has been living a secret lifestyle ever since.

Feeling strongly about not wanting to share the cash with his family because of lengthy feuds, he “kept my f***ing mouth shut”.

Taking the secrecy to the next level, the millionaire hasn’t even told his fiancée – who he recently popped the question to.

He said: “My winnings came to just shy of £4million.

“I paid off all my debts, hired an accountant, fixed some things on my truck, and put most of it in savings.

“I kept my job, didn’t move, and kept my f***ing mouth shut.

“My brother is a meth head, my sister is a spiteful wh**e, and my mum still blames everything on my dad who died ten years ago.

“So I didn’t want them scrambling to pretend to give a s**t about me for cash.

“I’ve been dating a girl for about three years now and recently asked her to marry me, she said yes.

“I bought a modest ring, just over what people would expect given my known employment.”

The man went on to say he would now tell his life partner everything and know in his heart she loves him for him.

He added: “This weekend I’m going to lay everything out for her and I can truly know she’s in it for me and not the money.

“It’s going to liberating to be able to buy what I want and take care of my friends, totally worth the wait.”

Many people agreed with keeping the win a secret and praised the man for not “blowing it all in a year”.

One person said: “This is so refreshing to read I really hope his family never finds out because he seems like a genuinely good guy and he doesn’t deserve to have them mooch.”

Another wrote: “It’s good you’re being careful and working and that you’re keeping your windfall private.

“£3million is a nice chunk and it can grow and last, but it’s not so much that it can’t be blown very quickly.”

Staying anonymous after winning the lotto

Senior Winners’ Advisor, Andy Carter, said winners can absolutely stay anonymous following their win.

The National Lottery give players the option about going public with their scoop or not.

Andy said: “It’s entirely the winner’s decision if they want to share news of their win.

“We have an aftercare programme in place to ensure that all winners have access to legal and financial advice.

“It’s often the case that when a winner decides to remain anonymous, we are the only people that know about their win so we keep in touch with them for as long as they want to.

“Often they like to talk to someone or just let us know what they have been up to.”
