Rains continue to lash Kerala; IMD issues orange alert in two districts

IMD issued orange alert in Malappuram and Wayanad districts of Kerala due to heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds were also predicted by IMD. Squally weather with strong winds expected, fishermen advised not to venture into the sea. Red and yellow alerts were issued for heavy rainfall. Alerts were also issued for Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha districts.
