Watch Emmerdale’s Caleb star hold OAPs at gunpoint in shocking scenes from forgotten Coronation Street role

EMMERDALE actor William Ash held OAPs at gunpoint in a forgotten role in Coronation Street.

The star has been wreaking havoc in the dales as Caleb Miligan after crash landing onto the ITV soap in 2022 as the half-brother of Chas and Cain Dingle.

Although he has become famed for his current role as Caleb, he previously had a much more dramatic role in his soap rival.

In 2002, William played a role in Coronation Street that saw him hold Rita Sullivan at gunpoint.

William’s character was named Johnny James and he was involved in a cash grab robbery from the Post Office.

Having stolen the cash, Johnny made a run from it and ended up on a country lane hoping to hitch a ride.

Elsewhere, Street Queen Rita had been celebrating her birthday alongside her fellow OAP pals Emily Bishop, Blanche Hunt and Betty Williams.

Unfortunately for them, on the way home they took a lost turn and found themselves on the country road where Johnny was.

He asked if they could give him a lift and he lied that he needed to visit someone in hospital.

Agreeing, he jumped in Rita’s car but she soon began to grow suspicious of him.

With his tale beginning to come clean, Rita slammed on the brakes and refused to drive any further.

Needing to act fast, Johnny whipped out a gun and brandished it right in Rita’s face.

He told the OAPs to scram so that he could take control of the car nut a defiant Rita remained.

She soon grabbed her keys out of the ignition before she subjected johnny to a beating with her handbag.

The police were already en route and as such managed to apprehend the crook at the scene of the crime.

The dramatic scenes almost foreshadowed Caleb’s antics in Emmerdale as he has had his fair share of baddie behaviour whilst in the Dales.

Recent scenes have seen Caleb vow revenge on Ethan Anderson after his driving landed Nicky Miligan in hospital.
