‘Come on now!’ rage The Fortune Hotel viewers as they slam ITV for ‘scripted and staged’ scenes

FANS of The Fortune Hotel have been left raging at the programme after they were left questioning if certain scenes were “scripted and staged”.

ITV‘s big-money game show hosted by Stephen Mangan has so far provided a mixed response among viewers with some arguing it has been a rip-off of BBC hit The Traitors.

Suspicions have begun to be raised on the programme over the validity of scenes after fans spotted a damning pattern between certain contestants.

It all came down to pairs in the episode who had been handed the Early Checkout Card.

On the show, pairs who hold the Early Checkout Card are at risk of leaving the Grenada hotel.

Through the course of winning daily tasks and challenges, they have the ability to swap cases with fellow players in order to ditch the Card which could seal their fate as well as attempt to bag the case which contains the £250,000.

Now in a twist which some fans have suggested has been ‘pre-planned’, the contestants with the Early Checkout Card have managed to find themselves winning a daily task for two days running.

On Wednesday, Lesley and Gary found themselves holding the dreaded card but ended up being victorious in the Room Service Challnege.

Similarly, on Thursday, Jae and Cherish became the holders of the early Checkout card yet went n to win the Day Trip challenge.

This essentially secured the pair from elimination and allowed them to take control and power over the game.

However, some viewers could not comprehend this was a coincidence as they branded the show “staged” for always allowing whoever has the card to win a challnege.

Hitting out, one fan said online: “So YET AGAIN everything that happens, happens to the people with the card and the money. Come on now, it’s way beyond a coincidence now.”

Another also pointed it out as they wrote: “I noticed this a few nights ago. This is beginning to seem very scripted & staged. I think to spice the show up in the future they should some nights force all contestants to swap cases regardless. It’s becoming boring.”

A third said: “So the team with the early checkout have won the challenge again?

Whilst a fourth went on to admit that it was becoming “too predictable”.

Previously, The Sun revealed how bosses had been lying to viewers of the show after pretending the suitcases contained £250,000 in cash.

One of the show’s top bosses has confessed that it in fact only contained £5,000 at any given time.

A stream of £50 notes were placed at the top of the case but the rest of the notes were completely fake and just paper.

Bosses are understood to have made the decision as a result of the programme being filming in the gorgeous surroundings of the Caribbean island Grenada which has developed a reputation for random bag thefts and crafty distraction techniques in order to steal other’s property.

Letting slip, series editor Ben Wilson said: “I have to admit we only had about £5,000 in the briefcase.

“It was not the real £250,000. You would not take real money.

“It was real money on top only. I mean you can lose a bag on holiday.”

“The contestants treated the money in the case was the £250,000 though and it was gathered up and collected every day.”
