Our Yorkshire Farm’s Reuben Owen splits from girlfriend Sarah Dow – just as their spin-off show hits screens
REUBEN Owen has made the surprising admission that he and former girlfriend Sarah Dow split up after filming his TV show, which is airing now.
The TV personality, who grew up having his childhood aired on Our Yorkshire Farm, has now released a spin-off series of his own called Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales.
In his new solo show he is seen following his passion for engineering by starting a new plant machinery venture.
Reuben recruited his best friend Tommy and girlfriend Sarah Dow to help with the business, and they have featured on the show as well.
But now, although episodes are still being aired where Sarah is Reuben’s partner, he has shared that they are no longer together.
When Lorraine Kelly asked about his love life on her breakfast programme this morning, he opened up about the split, saying: “Me and Sarah were together, we’re no longer together but we’re still very good friends.
“She’s kind of gone her own way and is pursuing her own career.
“She does the odd day for us when she’s not busy, but no we’re not together. We get on very well and we’re still good pals.”
The surprise announcement comes after Sarah was recently seen going on holiday to France with Reuben in an episode of Life in the Dales.
It was the first time the pair had left Yorkshire and they were excited for the excursion.
Reuben and Sarah started dating in December 2021, after growing up together in the heart of Ravenseat.
They were actually introduced to each other by Reuben’s friend Tommy, who also appears on Life in the Dales.
Reuben previously joked that he was “terrified” of Sarah when they first met, as as he “was not a natural charmer”.
Sarah’s mum said: “He was afraid of Sarah and worried that he might say or do something inappropriate. Almost a different youngster, he now.”
