One person is in critical condition following a two-car crash on Valley Service Road in North Haven on Friday morning.

One person is in critical condition following a two-car crash in North Haven on Friday morning.

Officers in the morning hours responded to Valley Service Road on the report of a motor vehicle crash, according to the North Haven Police Department.

One of the drivers involved was taken to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition, police said.

The South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit responded to investigate the crash.

Valley Service Road was closed while authorities were at the scene and later reopened, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
