The group – which also includes TOWIE stars Lauren Goodger and Yazmin Oukhellou – are all due to appear in court next month.

Scotty has just landed in Thailand with his Geordie Shore co-stars to film his big return to the MTV series.

The group will be there for three weeks, meaning he should just get back in time for his court hearing by the skin of his teeth.

The UK’s financial watchdog, The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), has this week brought charges against nine people in a crackdown on financial influencers – or ‘finfluencers’ as they have been named.

They are accused of promoting alleged unauthorised investments.

Scott is among seven stars who are due in court, including Towie’s Lauren and Yazmin and Love Island‘s Biggs Chris, Eva ZapicoRebecca Gormley and Jamie Clayton.

They each face one count of issuing unauthorised communications of financial promotions. This is an offence under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and it is punishable by a fine and up to two years in jail.

Also facing charges are Emmanuel Nwanze and Holly Thompson, the alleged masterminds behind the ‘scam’.

The case is scheduled to be heard at Westminster Magistrates Court on June 13.

Despite this, Scotty appeared in good spirits as he boarded a £6,000 first class flight to Thailand alongside his former Geordie pals.

The gang, including Nathan Henry, Sophie Kasaei and Chloe Ferry, were seen at Newcastle Airport on Thursday.

This will be Scotty’s big comeback to Geordie Shore, having been booted from the show in 2018. The reality star, who had joined the cast in 2012, was given the shove after being snapped taking cocaine at a party.

He will join the full cast line-up of Abbie Holborn, Chantelle Connolly, Chloe, Holly Hagan, James Tindale, Jay Gardener, NathanSophie and Ricci Guarnaccio when Geordie Shore’s ‘big holiday to Thailand’ airs later this year.
