Spring-like weather returns to Portland with cooler conditions Friday

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A mix of sun and clouds will remain over the Portland-Vancouver area Friday as temperatures hover near average.

Temperatures will start to settle into the mid to upper 60s through the weekend. That comes as clouds become more widespread and the shower potential increases on Sunday. Dry skies will remain Friday as temperatures warm into the upper 60s.

Even more clouds are expected this weekend. A few isolated rain showers are possible Saturday with a greater chance likely Sunday. Significant measurable rainfall is not expected this weekend as just a few one-hundredths of an inch is possible. The greatest amounts will be found along the coast.

Monday sunshine will bring the heat and will conclude Oregon's latest round of dry and mild weather. Highs will warm into the low 70s as the Pacific Northwest prepares for a cooler and wetter weather pattern later in the week.

Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers will take Portland into the middle of the week with highs only climbing into the low 60s through Friday of next week.
