ATCEMS: 13 people involved in major crash with semi-truck on I-35

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Multiple first responders arrived at the scene of a major crash involving a semi-truck Friday morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

ATCEMS said the collision was near the 1000 block of South Interstate 35 heading north. KXAN reporter Nabil Remadna said the scene is on the Interstate 35 bridge over Lady Bird Lake.

Medics reported there were 13 people involved and nine patients needed to be taken to the hospital. 

Drivers should expect major traffic delays in the area.
