Tottenham Hotspur will look to bolster two key positions this summer as they look to improve their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Ange Postecoglou had to deal with the exit of star striker Harry Kane just days before the opening day of the campaign at Brentford when the club record goalscorer joined Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Football Insider claim that the North Londoners will look to bring in a new striker along with a senior wide forward as they look to fill the void left by Kane.

Richarlison, who joined Tottenham in an initial £50million deal (Guardian) from Everton back in June 2022 has struggled with consistency, partly due to injury issues which has seen the club disappointed with his performances.

The Brazilian has scored 12 goals across 31 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions this season (transfermarkt).

Tottenham want a new striker and wide player this summer

The report claims that Brentford forward Ivan Toney remains a key target for Postecoglou’s side with the England international tipped to leave the Bees this summer (The Athletic).

Saudi Arabian clubs have shown an interest in Richarlison, who are reported to be prepared to pay as much as what Spurs did to bring him to to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Timo Werner joined on loan from RB Leipzig in January and no decision has been made on whether the club will look to bring him in on a permanent basis.

Tottenham travel to already relegated Sheffield United in the final game of the Premier League season tomorrow afternoon where they can secure a place in the Europa League.

With Tottenham looking to fight on multiple fronts next season, which hopefully includes the Europa League unless there is a catastophic collapse at Brammall Lane tomorrow, there is absolutely no doubt that the Spurs first-team squad is lacking depth and quality in certain areas of the pitch.

Unfortunately, Richarlison’s recurring injury record keeps rearing its head which has limited his ability to play consistently and it’s clear that Heung-min Son is better suited on the left.

We need a new forward this summer and with interest in Ivan Toney looking to have waned from some clubs, he could potentially be the option we need.
