Ryan Mason, Chris Davies, and Mile Jedinak all describe Postecoglou in one word
All members of Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff were asked to describe the Tottenham head coach in one word and it is clear from their responses just the amount of respect the Australian commands among his colleagues.
It is fair to say that the last few months have not gone according to plan for Postecoglou and Spurs, with the Lilywhites failing to finish in the top four.
Perhaps even more concerning is the fact that the 58-year-old unleashed a rant after Tottenham’s loss against Manchester City, claiming that the days leading up to the game had shown him that the foundations both inside and outside Spurs are fragile (Football.London).
It is fair to say that those comments did not go down well with a lot of Spurs fans but Postecoglou certainly has the backing of the majority of the supporters, with many seeing some promising signs this season.
Son Heung-min has come to his boss’ support this week, insisting that he believes Postecoglou can bring success to the club if everyone fully buys into his methods (Standard).
Ange Postecoglou is well-respected at Tottenham
The Tottenham coaching staff certainly seems to have the utmost belief in their boss, using some extremely complimentary words to describe him.
Here’s what each of them said to Optus Sport when asked the first word that comes to their mind about Postecoglou:
Ryan Mason: Convincing
Rob Burch: Winner
Chris Davies: Consistency
Matt Wells said: Consistency/Clarity
Mile Jedinak said: Assured
Spurs Web Opinion
The words convincing, consistency, clarity and assured all paint a picture of a man who does not waver from his methods and has complete belief in his principles, and one who effectively communicates just what he expects from his colleagues.
