I’m A Celeb legend set sights on EastEnders role five months after jungle stint
EASTENDERS could be seeing a little more culture added to their ranks – if this star has anything to do with it.
The long-running soap has amassed fans across the globe, and after conquering the I’m A Celebrity jungle, Italy, France, Morocco and Greece in their past shows, this TV star now has Walford in mind.
Speaking to The Sun, Fred Sirieix has revealed he hopes to land a job on Eastenders – so much so he even has a plot in mind.
“That’d be amazing. That would be fantastic,” he said. “[I’d love to be in] EastEnders. I can see myself, I’ve already written the lines actually.”
When pressed about what he wants to do in Albert Square, Fred added: “I’d be playing I think a gangster. We just arrived there and then at the end, I get killed.
“And there’s lots of things happening in between but at the end, I get killed and disappear and never be seen again in the square.”
Despite not having any acting credentials behind him, the First Dates restauranteur feels he has what it takes.
“We’re all a bit actors aren’t we? I mean, in the restaurant industry that I spend all my life in, you know, you’ve got to be all things for all people, and you got to be there for your guests,” he said.
“So effectively, you’re kind of an actor you’re putting on a show every single day. But yes, being an actor in a movie would be amazing.”
Until then, Fred is keeping busy with his travel food series with Gino D’ACampo, following the exit of their third musketeer, Gordon Ramsay.
The pair will be on our screens soon with a brand new prime time show called Emission Impossible.
It’ll see Fred and Gino visit Austria and Croatia as they learn how to live more sustainably.
“Gino doesn’t like to do anything. And he likes his comfort,” he told The Sun at the TV Baftas.
“So yeah, I’m bracing myself for the worst.”
Filming for the show started last year, but was halted after a nasty toboggan accident.
