Rumoured Tottenham target Wilfred Ndidi has admitted that he is open to leaving Leicester City this summer if the right opportunity arises.

A couple of years ago, Ndidi was seen by many as one of the best number sixes in the Premier League but the midfielder was one of several Leicester players who underperformed considerably last season as the Foxes went down.

The club have managed to bounce straight back up from the Championship, having finished top of the second tier this season and they will thus be back among the big boys next season.

However, Ndidi’s future is up in the air, with the 27-year-old’s current deal at the King Power Stadium running out in June (Transfermarkt).

It was reported by HITC last month that Spurs are considering signing the Nigerian international on a free transfer this summer.

The report added that the Lilywhites could face competition from the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle, Brighton and Wolves for the midfielder while the player was also said to be on the radar of Saudi Arabian sides.

Wilfried Ndidi open to summer transfer amid Spurs links

Ndidi has now broken the silence over his future, admitting that he would be willing to consider any good offer that comes his way.

The Foxes star told Nigerian outlet Complete Sports: “If a good chance comes, I won’t mind trying my luck elsewhere but for now I remain a Leicester City player.”

We know that Tottenham will be in the market for another number six, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp potentially on their way out of the club.

However, Postecoglou would likely want a player who has better vision and passing range than Ndidi, who is quite similar to Bissouma.
