Paddy, 50, took to X – formerly known as Twitter – as he enjoyed a day out with motoring journalist Chris Harris, 49.

The motoring journalist joined Top Gear in 2016 and stayed with the show as Paddy and Freddie Flintoff, 46, joined in 2019.

After the long-running BBC show came to an end in 2022, it still appears that the pair enjoy a close friendship.

The comedian was dressed in an all black ensemble with a simple tee, cargo trousers and trainers as he sported a sarcastic blank stare with his arms folded.

Meanwhile, Chris acted as if he was racing as he sat with his legs folded on what looks like a boat shaped stone.

Paddy wrote in the post: “From administration to the playoff finals!

“What an amazing job Ian Evatt, Sharon Brittan, her team and this squad have done for the town.”

He added: “Good luck from Sweden. Let’s ave it!!! #bwfc #playoffs.”

The pair are both back in the driving seat for their programme, Chris & Paddy: Roadtrip.

It will follow the duo head out on a highway adventure for a turbo-charged trip around Europe.

Filming was to begin in spring so it seems the pair are both hard at work.

Top Gear was shelved by the publicly funded corporation after  Freddie Flintoff’s crash at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey.

The accident was said to be was so bad the former England cricketer was “lucky to be alive,” according to his son.

Although bosses officially gave the axe to the show last November, they reportedly remain “committed to Freddie, Chris and Paddy.”

However, Paddy previously admitted that he hasn’t spoken to Freddie Flintoff in 10 months since the horrific accident.

The TV presenter says “no one can begin to know what’s going on in his head” following the crash.

Speaking to The Sun about his relationship with Freddie, Paddy said: “We were all there for him when it happened, and he got back to us all immediately after, but it’s gone quiet since then.

“Who knows what he must be going through. I still see his wife and we still chat, and we have the same barber, and it’s all lovely.

“I messaged Fred recently saying, ‘Look, I can’t begin to think what you’re going through but rather than me bombarding you with loads of messages, which can be annoying, if you can’t be a***d with that, I’m always here. I hope you’re well and please God, I’ll see you soon’.

“You just can’t begin to put yourself into his shoes. No one can know what’s going on in his head.”
