Two paramedic officers scrambled to the scene after the ambulance service was called at 11.44am.

Warwickshire Police said all students are out of the building and safe while emergency services respond.

There were no patients in need of treatment and the paramedics stood down.

The force urged parents to stay away and keep an eye on social media accounts.

Myton School said pupils in Years 7 to 10 who have contacted their parents for permission to go home have been moved off-site.

The school added: “We are working on the plan to get remaining students, including those in Years 11 and above off-site.

“The children have been nothing short of amazing in their attitude and behaviour in what has been a challenging situation.

“Any students remaining on-site are perfectly safe and we are working with the Police and other services.”
