I went to a wake and was stunned by the pub’s super inappropriate decor – they refused to take it down when asked
A WOMAN has been left stunned by the inappropriate decor at a wake she attended.
Sarah Ent shared details of the unusual decor choice via a video posted to her TikTok channel.
She revealed that she had attended a wake at a pub in Blackburn in August.
However, despite it being summer, the pub had been decorated with Halloween decorations.
These included skeletons hanging from the ceiling, giant spiders, and pictures of creepy ghosts.
There was even a poster of a terrifying clown holding a knife hanging from one of the walls.
Given that the guests in the pub were in attendance to say goodbye to a loved one, the creepy decorations were wildly inappropriate.
However, Sarah said that the pub had refused to take the decorations down, when asked.
Despite this, Sarah said that the man who’s wake it was would likely have found the whole thing hilarious.
Sarah’s video, which was posted under the username @saraent5, has likely left many people open-mouthed, as it has racked up over 908,000 views on the video-sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.
One person said: “This was my dad’s wake.
“He would have found it hilarious!”
Another person said: “Brilliant. I might request this in my will.
“With a spooky picture of my face in the window”.
A third person said: “We had congratulations banners and balloons at one of our wakes!”
A fourth said : “If my wake doesn’t look like this, I’m not dying”.
A fifth added: “I actually have a new idea now for my funeral“.
