Here’s what’s on tap for the ninth iteration of LA Fleet Week

The ninth annual Los Angeles Fleet Week is almost here — and there’s going to be plenty to check out.

Fleet Week wil run in earnest from Friday to Monday, May 24-27, in the LA Harbor, though free neighborhood events — to help build the excitement — will begin on Wednesday, May 22.

The two aspects that comprise the bulk of Fleet Week, which is free to attend, are the Main LA Fleet Week Expo and tours of the active duty ships that will be docked off San Pedro through Memorial Day. The expo, adjacent to the Battleship IOWA, will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday to Monday. Visitors can tour the ships from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. Friday to Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, according to LA Fleet Week’s website.
