See the 2024 Indy 500 starting grid with Scott McLaughlin on the pole

The 33-car field for the 2024 Indianapolis 500 is officially set, and Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin will lead them to green after winning the pole during Sunday’s qualifying rounds. McLaughlin dashed to the top of the leaderboard with a record-breaking 234.220 mile-per-hour four-lap average speed around Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s iconic 2.5-mile oval.

The 108th Indy 500 is Sunday with the green flag scheduled to fly at 12:45 p.m. ET on NBC (but the network’s coverage will begin at 11 a.m. ET).

This year’s race features eight previous Indy 500 winners: Josef Newgarden, Scott Dixon, Hélio Castroneves, Alexander Rossi, Takuma Sato, Will Power, Marcus Ericsson and Ryan Hunter-Reay. There are also six rookies this time around: Kyle Larson, Marcus Armstrong, Kyffin Simpson, Christian Rasmussen, Tom Blomqvist and Linus Lundqvist.
