NWS: Teams assessing damage after Oklahoma's severe storms

The National Weather Service in Norman has confirmed teams are out assessing damage on Monday after damaging storms hit Western and Central Oklahoma Sunday.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The National Weather Service in Norman has confirmed teams are out assessing damage on Monday after damaging storms hit Western and Central Oklahoma Sunday.

Currently, NWS Norman says survey crews have found at least EF2 damage southwest of Yukon, just south of Page Airport. A second survey crew has found EF2 damage outside of Custer City.

Meteorologist Emily Sutton confirmed on "X", "A prolific supercell started in the TX panhandle and traveled nearly 200 miles across western & central OK. A "Tornado Emergency" was issued for Custer City with confirmed baseball size hail. It spawned at least 4 other tornadoes, including 3 near the OKC Metro."

Roger Mills, Custer, Blaine, Caddo, Canadian, Oklahoma counties are still being assessed as more details are to be provided as additional information comes in, according to NWS Norman.
