Army does not want Agniveer scheme, INDIA bloc will throw it into dustbin: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi vowed to scrap the Agniveer scheme and criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly demeaning the country's soldiers by turning them into laborers. Speaking at his first election meeting in Haryana for the Lok Sabha polls, Gandhi also targeted Modi over farmers' issues. He promised to eliminate the Agniveer scheme, which was introduced by the Modi government for short-term induction of personnel into the armed forces. Gandhi also pledged to waive farmers' debt if the INDIA bloc comes to power.
