The other ‘cheer mums’ give their six-year-olds a full face of Kardashian makeup – I refuse to do it, says Sam Faiers

FOR many cheerleaders and gymnasts, the sport involves piles of cakey make-up.

But one person who refuses to cover her daughter’s face in ”Kardashian” style foundation and contour is Sam Faiers.

The TOWIE star, whose daughter Rosie, six, regularly takes part in cheer competitions, said that whilst many mums apply heavy make-up on their young kids, she keeps things simple.

”That is a me decision,” the reality TV icon told listeners on The Sam & Billie Show podcast.

When getting Rosie ready for the competitions, the 33-year-old revealed she styles her daughter’s gorgeous hair in a high sleek ponytail ”with a big bow” on top.

”I just put a little bit of glitter on her eyelids and she has a little bit of lip gloss – and that’s it.

”I just think – she’s six, she’s so beautiful anyway, like they all are.”

However, according to the mum-of-three, not everyone’s chosen such a minimal approach – and she’s seen some girls wearing heaps of heavy make-up fit for the red carpet.

”Some of the girls wear foundation, they wear pure smokey eye, eyebrows, contour, lip liner, lipstick.

”Their mums are contouring – you can see – blusher. It’s a full face of like a Kardashian make-up look on a six-year-old.

”For me, I just don’t like it,” said Sam, whose daughter Rosie won first place at gymnastics competition aged just four.

”I think they look so lovely with their little bit of glitter and sparkle – like, they’re so gorgeous.”

Although Sam noted that this will all probably change once Rosie enters her teenage years, ”she’s more than happy with what she has” – and will look back at the photos in the future and agree that her mum ”was right”.

”There’s a big percentage of cheer mums that do heavy make-up.”

No contraception

The mum-of-three, whose parenting is regularly shamed online by critics, has always been very vocal about motherhood – and most recently revealed she steers clear of using contraception.

Chatting with her elder sister Billie Faeirs, 34, Sam said: ”I literally do not take anything right now, so I have to be so careful.”

”I won’t take the pill again – ever,” she said, agreeing that everyone reacts to contraception differently.

Meanwhile, big sister Billie – mum to Nelly, nine, Arthur, six, and Margot, 17 months – told listeners that she had a coil fitted half a year ago.

”Contraception is such a personal thing, isn’t it?” Billie said, adding that this form of birth control left her with ”uncomfortable” periods.

”I find that I have really heavy, bad month – and then I have an okay month.

”It does take a good year to balance out,” said Billie who had the coil fitted in six months ago.

”I just think it’s so difficult to give people advice – because loads of my friends have had the coil fitted and then had to have it taken out because it didn’t agree with them.”
