BRIDGERTON is well known for setting viewers’ hearts a-flutter with its steamy romps, but fans have discovered a Netflix setting that turns up the heat.

The period drama with a modern twist won the hearts of the nation when it started airing in 2020, and has gone from strength to strength with its latest season.

Viewers have been going wild for Penelope Featherington’s romance with Colin Bridgerton.

The pair had a slow burn start to their relationship, but recently shared their first passionate embrace in a cliffhanger episode.

After Lord Debling (Sam Phillips) ended his courtship with Penelope at a dance due to interference from Colin, the long time friends found themselves sharing a carriage home.

There Colin finally worked up the courage to declare his feelings for his friend, leading to a heavy make out session that fans have dubbed one of the ‘hottest’ moments of the entire show.

Some even went on to discover an added feature on Netflix that made the racy scene even more titillating.

One person decided to listen to the audio description of the scene, which is provided primarily for people with visual impairments.

They were left swooning after discovering that the voice actor went into explicit detail about the characters fondling each other.

To switch the description on, viewers just need to go into the audio and subtitles section, then select audio description.

After Penelope declares that she is ready to be ‘so much more’ than friends with Colin, the narrator begins: “He leans in close, bringing his face to hers. They share a scorching kiss. He wraps his arm around her waist. They separate for a brief moment, then share several deep, slow kisses.

“She runs her hands up to her face and down his chest. They pause, regarding each other in wonder. She brushes her fingers over the curves of his ear and rigs her hand through his hair. His open mouth curves upward in an ardent smile.

“He presses his lips to hers, flattening her against the back of her seat. His hand slides up her skirt, coming to rest at her hip. She grips his lapel as they kiss fervently.

“He pulls back and slowly slips one of her puffed sleeves down along the creamy skin of her left shoulder. He brushes his lips over her throat and the yielding flesh below. He skims his hand down and squeezes her lush breast through her sparkling bodice. She rests her hand on his, looking down with her pink lips parted.”

The description only intensifies from there, so Bridgerton viewers who like to indulge in a bit of fanfiction can put that down for the moment and listen to this erotic audio instead!

Several fans took to social media to share their thoughts, with one gushing: “The descriptions that came my god…I’m not able to process it something changed in me after I watched with audio descriptions.”

Another exclaimed: “I refuse to watch the rest of the season without this… ”

A third added: “Just watched the carriage scene with the audio description and I’m unwell.”

Why is Bridgerton still so popular?

By deputy TV editor, Felicity Cross

WHEN Bridgerton landed during lockdown, it swept us all into a world of bejewelled gowns, lavish balls and endless bonking – and the world went mad for it.
Even the sexless second series didn’t damp down TV viewers’ lust for the Regency romp and fans have eagerly anticipated the arrival of the third series.
And they won’t be disappointed.
The opener finally gives us some action from gorgeous series two newlyweds Anthony and Kate in scenes that would make your granny blush.
There’s drama and intrigue as the hunt for Lady Whistledown hots us, and laugh out loud comedy from the chaotic Featherington family.
But ultimately the season belongs to new romantic leads Colin and Penelope, whose will-they-won’t-they love story is fun, flirty and utterly believable and its, ahem, climax at the end of episode four will take your breath away.
Is Bridgerton still must-watch telly? Corset is.
